To accept online payments through the Client Portal, you need to connect your Stripe account and enable online payments.

Open the Client Portal settings

  1. Select your username in the top-right corner.

  2. Under Your Account, select Store Admin.

  3. Under Clients, select Client Portal.

This opens the Client Portal Setup screen.

Open Payment settings

From the menu on the left, select Payments.

The Payment Processing section shows the current Stripe connection and online payment settings.

Connect your Stripe account

If Stripe has not yet been connected, follow the prompts in the Payment Processing section to connect your Stripe account.

You will be redirected to Stripe to complete the connection process.

Once successfully connected, the page will display:

Your Stripe account is connected

The connected Stripe account details will also be shown so you can confirm that the correct account has been linked.

Enable Online Payments

Turn on Enable Online Payments.

When enabled, your clients can make online payments through the Client Portal where online payment options are available.

Configure Deposit & Checkout Rules

Under Deposit & Checkout Rules, configure how payments should be handled when clients make bookings.

Available settings include:

  • Payment Requirement Tier – determines whether payment is required as part of the booking process.

  • Audit/Ledger Payment Type – determines the payment type used when recording Stripe payments in Konnect.

Review these settings carefully to ensure payments are recorded and processed according to your business requirements.

Save your changes

Select Save in the top-right corner after making any changes.

Your Client Portal payment settings will then be updated.

Disconnecting Stripe

If you need to remove the currently connected Stripe account:

  1. Go to Store Admin → Client Portal → Payments.

  2. Locate the connected Stripe account.

  3. Select Disconnect.

Disconnecting Stripe will prevent the Client Portal from using that Stripe account to process online payments. You can connect another Stripe account afterwards if required.

Troubleshooting

If online payments are not available to clients, check that:

  • A Stripe account is connected.

  • Enable Online Payments is switched on.

  • The correct Stripe account is displayed.

  • Your Deposit & Checkout Rules are configured correctly.

  • You selected Save after changing the settings.

If the connected Stripe account is incorrect, disconnect it and connect the correct Stripe account before enabling online payments.
