Categories are a great way to keep all your products and services grouped and organised.

Categories are also essential to help guide your clients through the online booking process.

## **To Create a Category,** click the following link:

**or**

From the top menu, click on the **Products tab.**

From the drop-down menu, select **Categories.**

The **Categories** page will appear.

Click on the green **+New Category** button.

The categories page will appear.

Type in the name of the new category you wish to create. **E.g. Facial Treatments.**

If you are using the online booking function, you can add a description in **Online Description** field. E.g. **Facial Treatments**

You can also add the **Online Details** in the next field. The details you enter here will be shown on the online booking system when your clients select the category.

The category status is set to **Active** by default, but you can **suspend** your category if needed by changing the slider to **suspended.**

To suspend a category, select **suspended** by clicking on the blue slider, as shown below.

Once you have finished, save your category by selecting the blue **Save** button.

**You have now added a new Category!**
