On occasion you may find yourself having to perform an exchange for your clients due to a change of mind. Exchange works out better for your business as you are not refunding the client, but rather exchanging for a different item/service.

**To perform an exchange:**

**Step 1:** Click the **Transactions** tab and select **Exchange**.

**Step 2:** Enter the item that the client is returning. In the **Quantity** section, **ensure you put a -** in front of the total number of item being exchanged. E.g. If the Client is exchanging 4 items, put -4.

**Step 3:** Now select the item that the client wish to exchange for and enter the correct quantity. As you are now performing an exchange, you **do not need to add in a - in your quantity.** If the exchanged value is higher than your returned item, the value will reflect in your total. Complete transaction as usual.
